Salina Community Theatre will hold auditions for our September production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” at 7:00pm Sunday through Tuesday at the theater, 303 E. Iron Ave.
Auditionees should prepare a song to sing and be dressed for movement and dance. An uptempo musical theater song is recommended. Following dance, some actors may be asked to stay to read from the script.
Based on one of Hans Christian Anderson’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is a love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.” Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above and bargains with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs.
Roles are available for 30 men and women ages 13-60. Rehearsals will begin in mid-July and production dates are September 4-27, 2015. For information, contact the theater at 785-827-6126.
